PDA

MicroMD has the capability to connect to a PDA (personal digital assistant) device so that
the user can modify hospital rounds and enter charges while at a service facility.
The information can then be synched into MicroMD at a later time. Diagnoses, procedures, and referring doctors can be downloaded to the Palm device.

Hospital Round information can be synched
from MicroMD into the PDA device, which is
then taken by the provider to the service facility. Also, new hospital rounds can be created at the service facility. Using the PDA saves the practice valuable time by enabling the provider to enter information while at the hospital. The hospital
rounds track the patient’s room number, admission date, discharge date, hospital unit (such as ICU),
the frequency of visits required by the provider, the referring doctor, and the consulting doctor.

Hospital rounds that were
entered at the service facility
can then be synched into MicroMD back at the office.
Once you synch the information into MicroMD, you still have the option to modify the information. Also, you can select to import only specific hospital rounds
into the system.
